Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta Review

If you keep up with the blog, you've probably seen some of our previous posts covering Beverly Hills Chihuahua 1 & 2. We reviewed these all-too-famous Chihuahua movies and gave our opinions on whether or not they're worth watching (hint: they are!). Well, to my surprise, there was actually a third one produced and released by Walt Disney Studios. Like many other lesser-known sequels, you have to approach them with some skepticism; after all, so many sequels fail to deliver what previous titles had. So, did Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta live up to the franchise name? Lets take a closer look...

About Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3

Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta was released earlier this month on September 18th. Unlike the original, it was a straight-to-DVD movie that was sold in a two-disc Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack. Don't let this fool you into thinking it's sub-par, however. While some viewers may find it less entertaining than the original, it's still well worth selling price, even if you only watch it once.

Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3: Viva La Fiesta takes place following the events in the previous two films. Rachel and Sam have been married since the end of the first film and now they are looking for employment. Eventually, the couple are offered jobs working in a high-end luxury hotel under the condition that hotel is allowed to photograph and use pictures of their Chihuahua Chloe. Rachel and Sam accept this offer and begin starting their new jobs as a chef and landscape designer.

Of course Chloe isn't the only Chihuahua to move into the ritzy hotel. She also brings along her Chihuahua-husband Papi and their many puppies, which is where the plot starts to get interesting. Rosa, Papi and Chloe's youngest pup, feels out of place and neglected once she sees everyone else working at the hotel. To help her out, the Chihuahua's decide to throw a Mexican party (fiesta) to celebrate her inner-beauty. The plot also goes a little deeper once some of the Chihuahua discover a plot to steal the hotel's business by a rival competitor.

If you're on the fence about renting or buying Beverly Hills Chihuahua 3, check out the official tralier above. As you can see, there are plenty of familiar and new Chihuahuas in the movie. In addition, there are also plenty of other dogs that join the party. The bottom line is that the cute dogs and dialog alone are enough to put a smile on your face and make this movie worth watching!
