Benefits of a Chihuahua Harness
If you walk your Chihuahua on a leash attached to a collar around their neck, you could unknowingly be causing discomfort, pain, or even injury as you walk them. You see, the full force of your pull (or theirs) is distributed only at their neck, which is a sensitive and fragile area already. This can lead to various problems including difficulty breathing and a collapsed trachea in extreme cases. To make matters worse, all small do breeds - Chihuahuas, Yorkshire Terriers, Pomeranians, Poodles, and Dachshunds are at greater risk for developing neck/throat injuries due to their small size and stature. As you walk your Chihuahua on a leash and collar, you may notice them exhibit signs of choking or gagging from the strain of the leash, especially if they're hyper and wanting to "pull" away from you as you walk them. Typically, this alone wont be the sole cause of any serious disorder, however it can lead to and accelerate any underlying conditions.

This basically changes the entire function of how your leash works, as the force of the pull will now be distributed throughout their entire body instead of the neck.
